Rolex Take-In Procedures
Step 1: Identifying the Rolex Timepiece
A. Remove the complete bracelet.
B. Rolex Timepieces older than 15 years will have the reference number engraved between the lugs (on the case) at 12. The serial number will engraved in like location on the 6 side.
C. Rolex Timepieces newer than 15 years will have the reference number engraved between the lugs (on the case) at 12. The serial number will be engraved on the Rehaut (metal ring under the crystal, inner bezel).
D. Please note the bracelet number on the paperwork. On older pieces the bracelet number can be located on the clasp blades. On newer piece the bracelet can be located on the inside face of the end-pieces.
E. Querying the timepiece reference number in MRWS, please determine the calibre number. This information is necessary to properly identify the timepiece on the price charts below.
Please note any inconsistencies in the client's timepiece as compared to the product identifiers noted in MRWS. For Example, is the bracelet number on the client's timepiece consistent with the available bracelets for the relevant reference.
F. Using the calibre number and product category, you can determine the price by utilizing the below charts.
Step 2: The Internal Approval Form
A. If you have determined that in-house service is available for the timepiece, please fill out the in house pre-approval form.
Step 3: The External Approval Forms
A. If you have determined that the timepiece must go to Rolex for service, please fill out the external approval form. If your client wishes to forego the pre-approval process, please use the "declined pre-approval stamp" and obtain the client's signature in the corresponding field.
B. Determine which Rolex Center the timepiece should ship to.
