Rolex Plaque Concepts
What is the Rolex Plaque Program?
The Rolex plaque program was officially implemented in January 2020. The program certifies a small number of independantly owned service facilities to be part of the official Rolex Service Center Network. The objective of this program is to be bridge any and all gaps between the client experience at a Rolex Owned Service Center and an official Rolex Plaque Service Center.
1. The repair facilities must meet Rolex guidelines related to square footage, design and on-site equipment.
2. An on-site Rolex plaque certified watchmaker.
3. Service prices must be fully consistent with official Rolex retail pricing.
4. Repair procedures must be fully consistent with official Rolex practices and procedures.
5. Branding materials must be fully consistent- including informational booklets, pouches and warranty cards.
6. Service Warranties must be fully consistent with official Rolex Official Warranty terms. Rolex offers a two year service warranty.
7. Plaque centers must honor service warranties of repairs performed at other official plaque service centers.
Are all authorized dealers part of the Plaque Program?
The majority of Authorized Dealers are not part of the plaque program. The plaque program requires a notable investment in the repair facility, equipment, training and staffing.
Are genuine Rolex Parts available to facilities not participating in the plaque program?
Rolex no longer supplies movement parts, case parts or bracelet parts (with the exception of extension links, straps, screws and spring-bars) to non-plaque facilities. Authorized dealers who are not part of the plaque program can receive basic sales support parts, such as extension links, straps, screws and spring-bars.
Can we service timepieces with aftermarket components installed?
Depending on the level of customization, we may be able to restore the timepiece back to Rolex Factory Specifications. All aftermarket components must be replaced with genuine components. This policy extends to factory Rolex components installed on or within an incorrect model. Very highly modified pieces, or those where the Rolex logo or branding has been manipulated, can not be serviced.
A timepiece can still be serviced should it have a non-factory, or non-model appropriate bracelet or strap installed. However, the bracelet will not be refinished or repaired. Additionally, the timepiece will be returned to our Service Department without the strap/bracelet installed on the timepiece.
How long does it take to complete a Rolex repair?
Rolex guidelines suggest that a full service should be facilitated in 3 weeks from the date of approval, plus the amount of time required to obtain the needed parts from Rolex USA. In practice, this is a complex proposition, as part delays are not uncommon. At the current time, we estimate an 8 week timeline for Denver and Arizona and a 4 week timeline for California. As we build up our service network throughout our locations, we foresee an overall increase in timeline efficiencies.
We try to facilitate minor (non invoiced) repairs expediently. Please keep in mind that parts are still often required.
We encourage repairs to be pre-approved if possible, for more information please visit the Rolex Repair Procedures section.
How much does it cost to repair a Rolex Timepiece?
Rolex USA and Rolex Plaque Centers extend identical pricing for service and parts. General pricing guides can be found under the Rolex Repair Procedures section.
